Your profile is how the Skooled community gets to know you. A clear, honest profile helps build trust and ensures you get the best experience possible.

It does not need to be perfect right away, but keeping it clear and honest helps everyone.

For students

As a student, your profile helps tutors recognize you and tailor their teaching style to your needs. Useful details include:

Your name

A profile photo, if you'd like to add one

Your correct account details

Any specific lesson information or goals your tutor may need to know

For parents

As a parent, you can use Skooled to stay involved in your child’s learning. You can:

Add and manage your child’s account

Book lessons on their behalf

Review their lesson history

Join a lesson as an observer to support their growth

Make sure your child’s details are correct so lessons are connected to the right learner.

For tutors

Your profile is what students and parents see before booking. A successful profile includes:

The subjects you specialize in

Your hourly rate

A short, engaging bio

The education levels you teach

The languages you speak

Your available teaching times

An intro video, if you want to add one

Your payout number for earnings

Tips for a strong tutor profile

Write your bio like you are speaking to a student who is deciding whether to learn with you. Try to explain:

What you teach and your areas of expertise.

Who you teach best (e.g., primary, secondary, or adult learners).

3.

How you help students understand difficult topics.

4.

What a lesson with you feels like.

5.

Why a student should feel comfortable and confident booking you.

Avoid generic phrases like “I am passionate about teaching.” Instead, be specific about your methods and successes.

Payout Information

If you are a tutor, please double-check your Mobile Money number in your settings. Accuracy here ensures your earnings are sent to the correct account without delay. A small mistake in the number can cause significant payout problems later.
