Your browser needs permission to use your camera and microphone for live lessons. If access is blocked, the classroom may open, but you won't be able to communicate effectively.
Before joining a lesson
Please ensure:
Your browser is updated to the latest version.
You have allowed Skooled to access your camera and mic.
No other apps (like Zoom or Skype) are using your camera or mic.
Your hardware is properly connected.
Browser Tips
Chrome/Edge — : Look for a camera icon in the address bar. Click it to ensure Skooled is allowed access.
Firefox — : Look for the permission icons next to the URL and click to allow.
Safari — : Check your Safari settings or "Preferences" to ensure camera/mic permissions are enabled for Skooled.
Troubleshooting Camera Issues
Refresh the classroom page.
Rejoin the lesson.
Check your device's global privacy settings (ensure apps are allowed to use the camera).
Close other programs that might be using the camera.
Troubleshooting Microphone Issues
Check that the correct microphone is selected in your browser settings.
Ensure your device is not muted and the volume is up.
If using an external mic, try disconnecting and reconnecting it.
Best Practice
Test your setup a few minutes before the lesson starts. We highly recommend using headphones to reduce echo and background noise.
