All tutors on Skooled complete a short verification before they are approved to teach.
Why it matters
Verification builds trust. Students and parents are much more likely to book a tutor who has been officially verified by our team.
Before you begin
To help the review move quickly:
Check that your Airtel or MTN Mobile Money payout number is correct and belongs to an account you can access.
Use a clear public profile photo that shows your face.
Take your verification selfie in good light.
Complete your profile and qualification details.
Skooled will never ask for your Mobile Money PIN.
Common Issues
Verification might be delayed if the selfie is unclear, does not reasonably match the profile photo, or the payout number cannot be confirmed. If your application needs attention, follow the instructions in the app.

In progress: You still have steps to complete.
In review: Our team is currently checking your details.
Needs attention: Please fix the issues mentioned and resubmit.
Approved: You're ready to start teaching!
